Belem Tower in Lisbon: Discover Belem Tower UNESCO Site and Cultural Heritage

The architectural style in which this structure is made is called Manueline, which became widespread exclusively in Portugal, during its heyday as a maritime power. This style includes elements of Gothic, Renaissance, Moorish, and even a little Indian style. Basically, everything that the Portuguese were able to see thanks to their numerous expeditions. A true master, Francisco de Arruda, is the author of this magnificent architecture. 

The fortress consists of two parts: a five-story tower with statues of St. Michael and St. Vincent, equipped with a stunning Templar chapel, which is located inside, and a hexagonal bastion with 17 cannons.
