Experience Description

Obidos is an ancient city on the site of a medieval village in the center west of Lisbon. The first human records appeared here in pre-roman times. But the greatest impact Obidos got in the Roman and Moorish eras.

Long time Obidos was a defensive building because of its strategic location on top of a hill overlooking the surrounding area. In the mid 1100, it was Conquered by the Moorish by Afonso I of Portugal. That time Celtic temples were adapted into churches, while parts of the wall were demolished so until our times it went through numerous reconstruction and rebuilding stages. Let us give you a funny and exciting walk with us, taste a Ginjinh, and give the best impressions for your exploration.
